The Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Croatia and is located in the heart of the country. The park is famous for its sixteen interconnected lakes and a series of waterfalls, which are surrounded by lush forests and wildlife.
The Plitvice Lakes Entrance 2 is one of the main entrances to the park and is located on the northwestern side. The entrance fee for adults is 180 HRK (around 24 USD) during peak season and 80 HRK (around 11 USD) during off-peak season.
To visit the park, visitors can choose from several walking trails, ranging from easy to moderate difficulty. The most popular route is the one that covers both the upper and lower lakes, which takes around six hours to complete. Visitors can also take a boat ride across the lakes or a panoramic train ride through the park.
In the surroundings of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, visitors can find several other interesting attractions, such as the Barac Caves, the Rastoke Watermill Village, and the Dreznik Castle. The Barac Caves are located around 20 minutes by car from the park and offer a unique underground experience with stalactites and stalagmites. The Rastoke Watermill Village is a picturesque village with waterfalls and traditional wooden houses, located around 30 minutes by car from the park. The Dreznik Castle is a medieval fortress located around 15 minutes by car from the park, which offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
